David Tentis of Troy Burne GC shot a first round 3-under par 69 to lead the 2009 Minnesota PGA Professional Championship being held August 31st and September 1st at the Pines at Grandview Lodge in Nisswa, MN . Tentis, the 2002 champion, leads Aaron Jacobson of Rush Creek GC, Jeff Kringen of Spring Hill GC, and Ty Armstrong of Glen Lake GC by one shot after they all posted 2-under par 70. Defending champion Jeff Sorenson of Columbia LC is three shots back and tied for ninth at even-par 72. The low eight professionals after 36 holes advance to the 2010 PGA Professional Championship being held next June at French Lick Resort in French Lick, Indiana.
