Jeff Kringen of Spring Hill GC shot a final round 5-under par 67 for a two-day total of 7-under par 137 to win the 2009 Minnesota PGA Professional Championship by four shots at the Pines at Grandview Lodge in Nisswa, MN August 31st and September 1st. Finishing second at 3-under par 141 was Don Berry of Edinburgh USA after a final round 4-under par 68. First round leader David Tentis of Troy Burne GC finished tied for third with Craig Brischke of Tanners Brook GC at 1-under par 143. Defending champion Jeff Sorenson of Columbia LC finished tied for 5th with Mike Barge of Hazeltine National GC at even par 144. Also advancing to the 2010 PGA Professional Championship being held next June at French Lick Resort in French Lick, Indiana are Todd Kolb of Willow Run GC and Aaron Jacobson of Rush Creek GC after both finished at 1-over par 145.
