Rules of Play: The USGA Rules of Golf, Minnesota PGA Hard Card, Minnesota PGA Pace of Play Policy, Notice to Competitors, as well as any Local Rules will govern play. Players will receive a Local Rules sheet daily at their starting hole.
Schedule: Friday and Saturday, July 24-25: First and second rounds. Tee times begin at 7:25 a.m. each day. Following the completion of the second round, the field will be cut to the low sixty (60) and ties.
Sunday, July 26:Final round. Tee times begin at approximately 8:30 a.m.
Alternate Order: The order alternates will be accepted into the Championship field will be based on the following order of Qualifying sites.
1. Northfield GC 5. Chisago Lakes GC
2. Bunker Hills GC 6. Village Green GC
3. Hiawatha GC 7. Island View GC
4. Keller GC
Practice Rounds: Practice round times are available. Hastings CC policies regarding tee time reservations and fees apply. For availability, call (651) 437-6483.
Distance Measuring Devices: Are allowed per the MN PGA Hard Card.
Golf Cars: Motorized golf cars will not be permitted in the Championship unless a medical condition warrants a waiver of this condition. Waiver requests must be received by Thursday, July 15, 2009. Also, players are allowed to carry their own bag or use a pull cart to transport their bag.
Caddies: Players must make their own caddie arrangements and are responsible for the conduct of their caddies. Caddies are allowed to wear shorts and must adhere to the dress code of the host facility.
Championship Lodging: Treasure Island Resort & Casino is the official lodging host for the 2009 Minnesota State Open Championship and has offered the following special rates: $89 on Thursday, July 23 and Friday, July 24 and $109 on Saturday, July 25. To reserve a room contact Treasure Island at (888)867-7829 and mention the reservation code of "PGA Minnesota".
Parking: Minnesota State Open participants will have access to the Hastings CC parking lot. All others, including caddies and spectators who travel in separate vehicles, must use street parking. Additional parking passes will not be issued if your original parking pass is lost or misplaced.
Shuttle: A shuttle service will be available for participants and spectators to and from Hastings CC and Treasure Island Resort & Casino. Please use this service if you are staying at Treasure Island.
Personal Appearance: Players are reminded that proper golfing attire is required. The wearing of T-shirts, blue jeans, or SHORTS are not allowed during qualifying and Championship rounds.
