Professionals John Harris of Edina CC, Kane Hanson of Detroit CC, Adam Wynia of Prairie Green GC,Jeff Sorenson of Columbia LC, and Kevin Cashman of Bearpath G and CC share the first round lead in the Stanton Group Minnesota Golf Champions at Bearpath Golf and Country Club in Eden Prairie, MN. The five players each shot 5-under par 67 in perfect scoring conditions and lead the event by one shot over professionals Bill Israelson of the Vintage GC, Chris Borgen of Hiawatha GC and amateur Adam Dooley of Albany GC. Defending champion Clayton Rask of Monticello CC is six shots back after an opening round 1-over par 73. Second round play continues Saturday afternoon at Bearpath. The Stanton Group Minnesota Golf Champions is presented by TaylorMade adidas and Bushnell and open to the public to watch.
