A History as Storied as the Game Itself
Many of golf's first accomplishments are obscured by time. Who got the first hole in one? Who was the first player to break 70? But this "first" is known: Page & Tuttle made the first knit golf shirt. And every year we do our best to re-invent it a little. Along the way we've even managed to change green grass merchandising for the better. Messrs. Page and Tuttle were real people and true innovators. In the 19th century they pioneered the development of plated fabrics. In the 20th century their work led to the development of the first knit golf shirt.
